プロデューサーのフランク・ファリアンが中心となり、スティーヴ・ルカサー、ボビー・キンボール、デヴィッド・ペイチ、サイモン・フィリップスといったTOTO人脈に、クリムゾンのメル・コリンズ、MSGのロビン・マッコーリーなどなど大勢の有名実力派ミュージシャンが参加した名盤。(オリジナル・リリース:1985年/IMP Production)
ボビー・キンボールとロビン・マコーリーがヴォーカルを取った1曲目のツェッペリン“天国への階段”カヴァーはアルバム発売を前にシングルカットされ、すぐにUKロックチャートに入り大きな話題となった。本盤をイロモノ扱いするロック・ファンも少なくなかったようだが、錚々たる凄腕参加ミージシャンのその確かな厚みのある演奏力は、そんな評価も払拭してしまう。特筆すべきは、キンボールやメル・コリンズ2曲目の壮大なバラードや、ボビー・キンボールがリードをとる3曲目は完全にTOTOの「Hold the Line」を意識したサウンド。AORファンには軽快な8曲あたりがオススメ。
